Dr Geetha Gopalsamy was awarded a prestigious National Medical Research Postgraduate Scholarship to complete her PhD examining nutrition and its effects on the gut microbiota. She has also been involved in research exploring the role of diet in the development of colorectal cancer. Geetha is keen to provide the highest standard of comprehensive, evidence based care, whilst utilising a holistic, patient centred approach. She is particularly passionate about promoting the treatment of women gut health and is aware of some of the unique gastrointestinal challenges they face. Geetha also enjoys being involved with the education of our future doctors, through her continued work at Monash University.
